Water licensing is normally billed by the hour, with consultant invoices arriving separately for months. We do it the other way around: one fee agreed in writing before any work starts, with the departmental fees inside it. Mining and multi-site work is capped, so the number can go down but never up.
Before you spend anything else, we tell you which of your water uses actually need authorisation.
R15 000 fixed scope
You already hold your specialist reports. We assemble the file, lodge it and push it to a decision.
R45 000 fixed fee
One number for the whole thing — the studies most single-property applications need sit inside the fee.
R135 000 studies included
Several uses, several properties or a mine. Priced after the review and capped in writing, never open-ended.
R180 000 – R750 000 capped, all-in
A water licence file is not really a legal document. It is a legal document wrapped around several technical reports, and those reports are where budgets usually break. A hydrogeologist quotes separately, a wetland specialist quotes separately, the advertising is billed at cost, and the total is only clear at the end.
On our all-in package we appoint and pay those specialists ourselves. You get one number to put in a budget or take to a funder, and we carry the risk of the file needing another round.
Where the work genuinely cannot be scoped upfront — several mining operations, multiple properties, several water uses at once — we do the R15 000 review first, then quote inside a written ceiling. That fee comes off the application price when you appoint us.
